Popular lyricist and music composer Saroj Pattnayak died at the age of 81, after being bedridden since last year. He was born on June 2, 1940, in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Saroj debuted as a music composer in the super hit Odia movie ''Abhiman'' in the year 1977. He earned fame by composing music and lyrics for programs of Akashwani and Doordarshan.
