Santoor Maestro Shiv Kumar Sharma Cremated With Gun Salute & Full State Honours
Veteran Santoor maestro Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma was given full state honours at the time of cremation, on May 11. Reportedly, Sharma (83) died due to a heart attack on May 10. Sharma was an eminent classical musician, who was known for taking Santoor (folk instrument), to the international stage. Sharma's sons Rahul and Rohit performed the last rites and then he was honoured with a gun salute.

Veteran Violinist Prabhakar Jog Passes Away At 89
The 89-year-old Veteran Violinist Prabhakar Jog passed away due to age-related issues on October 31 in Maharashtra. Jog worked in Marathi and Hindi film music for over 60 years. He also performed more than 80 solo programmes in his career in India and Dubai. He had started his career at the age of 12. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhave Thackeray also expressed his grief over his demise.

Music Composer Shravan Rathod Passes Away At 66 Due To COVID-19
Shravan Rathod of the popular composer duo Nadeem-Shravan, passed away at the age of 66 on April 23 due to COVID-19 in Mumbai. Rathod was admitted to Mumbai's SL Raheja hospital on April 19 in a critical condition. He had worked in popular movies like Aashiqui, Saajan, Pardes and Raja Hindustani. Popular musicians, including Salim Merchant, Pritam and Shreya Ghoshal, have delivered their condolences to Shravan's family.
