Jasna Salim, a 28-year-old Muslim homemaker who only draws paintings of Lord Krishna with butter pot, gifted one of her paintings to Sree Krishna Swamy temple in Ulanadu in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district. Salim aka 'Kannaa' said she ''started painting Lord Krishna by mistake''. However, her husband helped her to pursue her passion. The ministry of minority affairs has decided to observe August 1 as ''Muslim Women Rights Day'' to commemorate the anniversary of the law enactment against the triple talaq in India. On the occasion, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas attended a program in New Delhi with women and child development minister Smriti Irani and environment minister Bhupendra Yadav.
