Depression Kills Mother-Son Duo In West Bengal, :Police Registers Case
In West Bengal's Nadia district, two bodies, one of a 34-year-old man Subhadip Mandal and his mother Anju Mandal (65) were found hanging. The suspicious dead bodies were found at their home in Kalyani's B-10 area on September 13, confirmed police on the next day. Notably, after inspecting the area, the police found a suicide note stating no one is responsible for the death. Police launched an investigation

Hanskhali Gang-Rape Case: CBI Files Chargesheet Against 9 Accused In POCSO Court
In the Hanskhali gang-rape and murder case in Nadia district, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed chargesheet against nine accused, on July 9. According to the investigation, the minor victim was intoxicated and gang-raped by three accused. Following the incident, her parents were threatened by another three accused. After the girl died, the accused cremated her body, without giving an opportunity for medical examination.

PM Modi Expresses Condolences To Victims: Nadia-Road Accident
PM Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the families of ones, who lost their lives in a Nadia-road accident. "Extremely pained by the loss of lives due to road accident in Nadia. My thoughts are with bereaved families. May the injured recover at earliest," he said. However, on November 28, a total of 18 people died and five were left injured at Phulbari, Nadia district of West Bengal.
