Yair Lapid Officially Becomes 14th President Of Israel
Yair Lapid has become the 14th president of Israel, on July 1. Lapid's term will extend till a new president is elected, with Israel's elections having been scheduled on November 1. "We'll do the best we can for a Jewish, democratic state," said Lapid. US president Joe Biden congratulated Lapid and extended thanks to Naftali Bennett, for "friendship over the past year".

Israel PM To Reschedule His India Visit, Tested COVID-19 Positive
The Union Ministry of External Affairs announced that the Israel PM, who was scheduled to visit India on the invite of PM Modi, has been postponed. Notably, PM Naftali Bennett tested positive for COVID-19 on March 28. Notably, since 2017, the two nations are working to strengthen their bilateral relations.
