Bhim Singh, the founder and senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, died on May 31 in Jammu. Singh, who had been ill for more than a year, leaves behind his wife and children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolences on Singh's death, saying he would be remembered as a grassroots leader who dedicated his life to the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir.
