Farmers' Protest: Union Chalks Another Meeting On December 30
After futile rounds of talks with protesting farmers, a sixth meeting has been scheduled on December 30 to resolve the deadlock. The move came days after the Supreme Court has asked the Union to create a committee to resolve the issue. While the farmers are determined to repeal the laws, the Centre is not ready to make changes. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said farmers are being misled.

10 Farmers' Organizations Submit Memorandum Supporting New Laws

South India’s First Kisan Rail Flagged Off from Andhra Pradesh
South India’s first 'Kisan Rail’ was flagged off virtually by Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy on September 9. The train, from Andhra Pradesh to Delhi, will carry horticultural produces and will help farmers by cutting 25% post-harvest losses.
