Indian Olympic Association Chief Accused Of 'Diversion' Of Money; CBI Launches Probe
Narinder Batra, chief of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the president of International Hockey Federation, has been accused for diversion of funds. Reportedly, Batra diverted Rs 35 lakh of the Indian Hockey funds for his personal benefit. The CBI lodged a preliminary inquiry against Batra, on April 6. Batra is expected to be summoned by CBI for further investigation.

IOA Chief Denies Claims Of Tokyo Olympics Barring India's Entry
IOA Chief Narinder Batra said that there's zero truth in a Malaysian media's claim of ten countries including India being on verge of not acquiring entry into the Tokyo Olympics. The report claimed countries including the United Kingdom, Malaysia and many more due to surge in COVID-19 cases in these countries. Refuting the claims, Tokyo Olympics CEO Toshiro Muto stated that the contingents from aforementioned need to be fully vaccinated.
