18-Year-Old In Nashik Commits Suicide After Playing Blue Whale Game

In Nashik, Maharashtra, a 18-year-old Tushar Jadhav committed suicide, on December 31. According to investigate, he was playing "Blue Whale Game", which has been centre of attraction for suicide amongst youths. Jadhav was found dead in Gaikwad area, Nashik.  He said to have consumed phenyl and slit his wrist, alleged to be the final challenge of the online game, Blue Whale. In past year, the horrific game killed many youths.

'I Don't Wear Mask Because I Follow PM Modi': Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that he doesn't wear a mask because he follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on December 30. He made the remark while replying to a question of media in Maharashtra's Nashik. He further said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also wears a mask but the PM doesn't wear one. ''I follow the PM and therefore, I don't wear a mask,'' added Raut.

100 Cr Vaccination Of COVID-19 Vaccine Is False Claim: Sanjay Raut

While addressing a party meeting in Maharashtra's Nashik, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said the claim of the 100 crore vaccination of COVID-19 vaccine is completed in India is ''false''. Furthermore, he said he would prove that only 23 crore doses of the vaccine were given to the adult population so far. While BJP's spokesperson Keshav Upadhye attacked Sanjay Raut saying his claim ''is nothing but laughable''.

Nashik Civic Body Begins Home Vaccine Drive For Physically Disabled

Nashik Civic body (NMC) has begun a home immunization drive for beneficiaries who are bed-ridden and physically disabled. To begin with, five have been vaccinated so far. Earlier, the Maharashtra government permitted home vaccination for people who are bed-ridden for at least six months owing to illness, age, and other factors. However, only Covaxin will be administered to such beneficiaries following relatives' consent.

Covid-19: 30 People Infected With Delta Variant In Nashik

As many as 30 people across Maharashtra's Nashik have been infected with the Delta variant of COVID-19, District Collector Suraj Mandhare said. He also added that the "samples were sent for genome sequencing to Pune, after which all the samples showed positive for the Delta variant". Most of the infected patients have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic, said nodal officer for emergency operation centres, Dr. Anant Pawar.

Nashik To Further Ease Covid-19 Restrictions

The covid-19 restriction will be further eased from August 3 as reported by the Nashik district collector, Suraj Mandhare. All essential and non-essential shops will operate until 8 PM on weekdays and until 3 PM on Saturdays. Essential shops will only remain open on Sundays. Traffic Havoc At Kasara Ghat Due To Midnight Landslide

Landslide at Kasara Ghat in Nashik, Maharashtra played havoc with traffic on July 21 at midnight. NHAI Officials and Highway Police hurried to the spot and ended the havoc to resume the movement of the vehicles. Reportedly, the Ghat witnessed heavy downpour round the clock and police have reported no casualties. The movement of vehicles was also restricted on the Mumbai-Agra highway following the landslide.

No reopening of schools in Nashik: NMC

The Nashik Municipal Corporation has denied opening of schools in the city although the city guardian minister had advised the civic body to think it through. Also, he said that he would have a word with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray regarding the decision. The State Government had allowed the schools to reopen from Class 8th to Class 12th in places that were covid free for a month.

Maharashtra: 24X7 Covid-19 Vaccination Centres Operate In Nashik

Two private hospitals namely HCG Manavata Cancer Centre and Suyash Hospital in Maharashtra’s Nashik have started a "round-the-clock vaccination centre" with an aim to vaccinate people at their convenience. The centres are in operation 24x7. Reportedly, over 2,500 people got jabbed with two shots at these centres and 10% of the individuals decided to get vaccinated after 9 p.m. and before 7 a.m.
