Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested three people form Pratapgarh district for allegedly beating a Gangetic Dolphin unto death. The police came active after the video of the killing of the National Aquatic Animal went viral on January 6. Reportedly, the offenders have been booked under section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. The police said that the boys have claimed they were ignorant about the endangered species.
