KTR Seeks 19,000 Cr Grants For Mission Bhagirathi, Tweets To GoI

Telangana IT and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao demanded a grant of Rs 19,000 crore from the Modi-led Central Government, for state's Mission Bhagirathi. On September 29, KTR took to Twitter and expressed happiness, after Telangana Rashtra Samithi's Mission Bhagirathi, which provides free drinking water to rural India, won NITI Aayog's national award for their mission. With this recognition, KTR sought funds to expand the mission.

PM Modi To Address National Awardees At His Residence: Teachers’ Day

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5, PM Modi is scheduled to interact with a group of teachers from across the country, at his residence. Reportedly, the interaction will come after 45 of them will be awarded by President Droupadi Murmu at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. Of the 45 awardees, two from Uttarakhand and Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be awarded under a special category for differently-baked teachers.

'The Rapist': Aparna Sen's New Film To Premiere At 'BIFF'

The Rapist, from the national award-winning filmmaker Aparna Sen, is set to be premiered at the 26th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Film stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Arjun Rampal and Tanmay Dhanania play the lead roles. The film is part of the section- "A Window on Asian Cinema" at the festival. "The Rapist" is also nominated for the famed Kim Jiseok Award.
