IMD Issues Heatwave Alert In Delhi, 40 Degrees Celsius Maximum Temperature

the IMD issued a heatwave alert for Delhi, as the temperature is to rise with a maximum temperature to be over 40-degree mark.  On May 11, the national capital witnessed 40 degrees Celsius with moist and humid weather.  While the maximum temperature is over 40 degrees and the minimum temperature settled at 28 degrees Celsius. As per IMD, a fresh heatwave spell is likely to start on May 13.

Delhi Reports Over 1,000 COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hrs

Delhi reported 1,204 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, confirmed the Health Department on the night of April 26. Furthermore, this is the fifth consecutive day, Delhi witnessed a rise in the daily cases and reported over 1,000 cases. With this, the national capital currently has 4,508 active cases in the State, and death toll stood at 26,169 with one new death. Amid the COVID-19 rise, face-masks have been mandated.

Deployed 17 Flying Squads To Monitor AQI Norms In Delhi: Centre To SC

The Centre on December 2 constituted 17 flying squads to ensure air pollution norms are followed strictly in Delhi. They also said to deploy 23 more flying squads in 24 next hours, allowing them to take preventive action against violators. The updates were given as a response to the Supreme Court's 24 hours deadline given to submit a report on Delhi's worsening air pollution situation.

Delhi CM Hands Rs 1 Crore Financial Aid To Covid-19 Warriors' Families Who Lost Kin

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on November 29, visited families of Covid-19 warriors, who died of the virus and extended the financial aid. The Delhi CM announced a financial aid of Rs 1 crore to a total of 18 Covid-19 warriors, who lost lives due to the virus in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government released the amount, assuring help to the families of the warriors.

One In Four Individual Below 25 Years Of Age Shows Diabetic Levels: Study

Almost 25% of the people aged below 25 years had shown diabetic levels that were often seen in people aged above 40, found a medical study.
