Earthquake Of Magnitude 3.6 Hits Uttarkashi: Uttarakhand

The National Center for Seismology on February 5, said a 3.6 magnitude earthquake jolted the city of Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district at 3:15 AM. The epicenter of the quake is reported to be 58 km northwest of Uttarkashi and 10 kilometers from the depth of the earth. So far, no reports of deaths and damage to property have been reported. Moreover, further details are awaited.

Earthquake Of Magnitude 5.5 Hits Myanmar; No Casualities Reported

The National Centre for Seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale hit Myanmar on October 8. The scientists said that the epicentre of the quake was reported at 144 Kms West-North-West of the country. The depth is said to be 90 Kms from the surface. So far, loss to properties and human casualties haven't been reported.

Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.5 Jolts Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin

The National Center for Seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale has jolted Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin area on the morning of October 5. The center of the quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres from the surface. However, this is the third earthquake since October 1. Earlier, two earthquakes of magnitude 4.4 and 4.1 hit Basar on October 2 and October 1.

4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Arunachal Pradesh's Basar

National Center of Seismology (NCS) on October 4 informed that Arunachal Pradesh's district Basar received an earthquake of 4.4 magnitudes. The earthquake (32.41 Latitude, 92.73 Longitude) had a depth of 106km NNW of Basar. NCS informed about the occurance over a tweet along with all the necessary information. Moreover, Arunachal Pradesh received earthquakes twice in the month of October last year.

Earthquake Of 5.3 Magnitude Hits Rajasthan, Meghalaya

Three earthquakes hit different parts of India on July 21, including Meghalaya's West Garo Hills, Ladakh, and Rajasthan's Bikaner. Reportedly, the most powerful jolt of magnitude 5.3 was reported in Rajasthan on the Richter scale at 05:24 am, followed by a magnitude of 4.1 in Meghalaya at 02:10 am, and a magnitude of 3.6 in Ladakh at 04:57 am. However, no casualties were reported anywhere so far.

5.4 Magnitude Sikkim Earthquake Jolts Parts Of Bengal, Bihar, Assam

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted the Sikkim-Nepal border on April 5 night. While the tremors were felt at several parts of West Bengal, Assam, and Bihar, the National Center for Seismology stated of no aftershocks as the magnitude was below 6. Reportedly, the earthquake occurred at 8:49PM, having epicenter at 25-km east-southeast of Gangtok with a depth of 10 Km. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Mumbai Feels Tremors As 3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits On September 11

The National Centre of Sesimology (NCS) has confirmed that Mumbai experienced an earthquake in the early hours of September 11. The earthquake which measured 3.5 on Richter scale occurred 98 Km north of Mumbai. No casualties or losses have been reported yet. "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 11-09-2020, 03:57:50 IST, Lat: 19.95 & Long: 72.76, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 98 km N of Mumbai, Maharashtra," the NCS tweeted.

4.3 Magnitude Earthquake Jolted Nicobar Islands

On September 6 early morning, the Nicobar Islands were jolted by a 4.3 magnitude earthquake. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed that the focus of the earthquake was 82 kilometres below the surface. The Andaman and Nicobar islands are regarded as seismically active regions and, hence, are categorized in Zone V.
