Bus Rams Into Parked Truck, Kills 1, Leaves 2 Injured In Agra, Uttar Pradesh
In a tragic accident, a 25-year-old man was killed and two injured, confirmed Uttar Pradesh police said on July 5. The incident happened when a roadways bus rammed into a truck parked on the Delhi-Agra National Highway, in front of Sanjay College, returning from Delhi. The deceased was identified as Devendra, a resident of Agra. Furthermore, injured Krishnakant and Ravi, were rushed to a nearby hospital in Vrindavan.

Jammu & Kashmir National Highway Closed Amid Landslide

Srinagar-Jammu Highway Blocked Due To Landslides & Shooting Stones
Srinagar-Jammu national highway on January 23 has been blocked due to landslides and shooting stones triggered by the prevailing inclement weather in Jammu & Kashmir region, said the officials. Besides that, Mughal road, Sinthan road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg to Gumri road also remains shut due to the accumulation of snow. Earlier, passenger Light Motor Vehicles were allowed by the authorities along the Srinagar-Jammu national highway.

Jammu-Srinagar Highway Open For One-way Traffic Amid Heavy Snowfall: J&K
The Jammu-Srinagar highway shall remain open for only one-way traffic on January 15, from 9 am to 1 pm for light motors. "No vehicles will be allowed before and after the timings from Nagrota in Jammu, strictly," said Traffic Inspector Rakesh Kumar. The highway was closed due to heavy snowfall and landslides. Reportedly, many truck drivers who got stuck on the highway blamed transport management authorities for their losses.

Jharkhand Police Confiscates 70 Kg Ganja From NH33 Worth 9 Lakhs
During a vehicle inspection on National Highway 33 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand police confiscated 70 kg of ganja from a four-wheeler on October 30. As per the East Singhbhum district police, the recovered contraband is worth more than Rs 9 lakhs. However, according to the authorities, passengers in the car escaped leaving the vehicle behind. Landslide In Shimla Temporarily Blocks National Highway-5
As per the direction of HP's emergency center, a rain-led landslide at Jeori near Rampur in Shimla has shut down NH-5 for the public. Authorities claim no loss of life & property.
