BSF Personnel Injured In Unprovoked Firing By Pak Rangers Along IB In Jammu

A BSF personnel was injured in unprovoked firing by the Pakistani Rangers along the International Border (IB) in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district on early Thursday, a senior official said. The firing targeting Border Outposts in the district is the third ceasefire violation in 24 days by the Pakistani Rangers along the IB on the Jammu frontier. One BSF personnel suffered injuries and was evacuated to a local hospital.

Punjab Govt Approves Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme

The Punjab Cabinet led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann gave approval to start the Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Darshan scheme (CM pilgrimage scheme) to enable the people of the state to visit various pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost from the upcoming 'parkash purab' of Sri Guru Nanak Dev on November 27. The Cabinet also gave its nod to introduce the Punjab OTS scheme for settlement of pre-GST.

Breaking! Indian Navy's Chetak Helicopter Crashes In Kochi, 1 Killed

 An Indian Navy helicopter crashed on the runway of the Naval airport at Willingdon Island which is situated near Kochi on Saturday. There are reports that one Indian Navy personnel who was onboard the helicopter lost his life during the crash. The crash occurred during a trial run at the airport in Kochi. There are also reports that one person is injured after the crash.

Stop Calling "My Lord" "Lordship", SC Judge Asks Lawyers To Use Sir

Supreme Court Justice calls out on lawyers and asks them not to refer judges as "my lord" or "lordship.".  "I'll give half my salary, if you stop calling My lord." said Justice Narasimha. He asked lawyers to use "sir" instead. This is to be noted, in 2006, the Bar Council of India had passed a resolution deciding no advocate will address judges as "My Lord" and "Your Lordship".

Delhi IIT Student Allegedly Commits Suicide, Probe Reveals Depression

In a shocking incident amid the rising number of suicide cases, a 23-year-old  B.tech student allegedly hanged himself to death, at his Shahdara residence. Police registered a case and conducted initial investigation, which revealed that the student was stressed and depressed since the past few months.  He was also taking medication for the same. Meanwhile, the IIT management asked students to seek council support, and expressed grief.
