Indian Grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Promises Gold To India
Buoyed by his World Cup silver medal, GM R Praggnanandhaa is confident of Indian team's chances of winning gold at the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou. Recently, on September 1, India's new chess sensation Praggnanandhaa was felicitated by Sports Minister Anurag Thakur at his residence. After felicitation, he said feels India has a "good chance" of winning gold at the Asian Games. Praggnanandhaa is a part of 10-member Indian team.

Central Govt Moves With One Nation, One Election Proposal
The Central Government has decided to take a big step forward on the 'one nation, one election' proposal. The BJP-led Central Government has set up a committee to study the issue and submit a report. WhatsApp Message In Name Of CJI Chandrachud Is Fake
The Secretary General of the Supreme Court has rubbished a purported “message” being circulated on WhatsApp with a photo of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and claiming that the CJI has asked people to come out on the streets and protest against the government. The Government of India took down eight YouTube channels, most of them with 1 million-20 million subscribers, for spreading fake news. Getting into the details, the channels are: 1. Yahan Sach Dekho, 2. Capital TV, 3. KPS News, 4. Sarkari Vlog, 5. Earn Tech India, 6. SPN9 News, 7. Educational Dost and 8. World Best News. Most of them allegedly spread fake news, related to government, parliament, schemes and Aadhar-PAN.

Entities May Face Penalty Upto Rs 250 Crores For Misusing Personal Data
Entities misusing or failing to protect digital data users may face penalty of up to Rs 250 crore under the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill 2023. The bill was laid down the obligations of entities handling and processing data as well as the rights of individuals. The bill which was introduced in Parliament today moots the creation of the Data Protection Board of India and provides protection to the Centre.

Mob Assault Mentally Challenged Woman In Jaipur
A shocking incident has come to light in Jaipur, where a mentally challenged woman was brutally beaten by a mob. The incident occurred in Kalyan Nagar, Jaipur, on July 20. The disturbing footage shows a crowd dragging the woman from her house and assaulting her in a market, even drenching her with dirty water. Jyothi Yarraji Makes History With 100m Hurdles Gold!
Jyothi Yarraji opened India's gold medal account in the Asian Athletics Championships by winning the women's 100m hurdles race and clinching her maiden top finish in a major international event. WFI Election To Be Conducted On July 6, No Relative Of Brij Bhushan To Contest
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has appointed retired High Court Judge Mahesh Mittal Kumar to oversee the electoral process for the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI.) The WFI nominations will begin on 23 June and the final list of candidates will be announced on 2 July. The contest will be for various WFI positions including President and VP. Furthermore, no relatives of Brij Bhushan will be allowed to contest elections.
