Pune Police Files FIR Against Three People For Assaulting NCP Women Workers

Pune police filed an FIR against three Bharatiya Kanata Party (BJP) workers on May 17 for allegedly assaulting Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) women workers at a book launch event in the presence of Union Minister Smriti Irani. Police registered the case under sections 354 and 323 of IPC. It was the release event of the Marathi version of the book titled 'Amit Shah and the March of BJP'.

ED Conducts Raid At Anil Deshmukh's Residence Under Corruption Charges

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a search operation at the property of Former Minister Anil Deshmukh in Nagpur and Mumbai, related to a money laundering case on June 25. The raid has been carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for exploitation of officers and corruption. Earlier in May, a criminal case was filed against him and his group by ED after investigating a current CBI FIR.
