After Tomatoes, Mumbai Citizens Witness Surge In Coriander Price

While most of the green vegetables including tomatoes have seen a correction in prices, the price of coriander increased in the last week. A pair of coriander was available at Rs 30 to Rs 40 is now available at Rs 60. Traders say the drop in supply led to price rise. Due to heavy rainfall in July, around 40 per cent of coriander crops were damaged and prices shot up.

Four Employees Of Navi Mumbai Hospital Booked For Assaulting Woman Worker

An offence has been registered against four employees of a hospital in Navi Mumbai for allegedly assaulting a woman contract worker at the facility, As per police, the case was registered under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code for the incident that took place at a hospital.

ELF Foundation Make Efforts For Better Marine Ecosystem, Removes Sea Waste

A mangrove clean-up drive started by three activists has now become a mission in Mumbai with 20,000 volunteers, for the marine ecosystem, removing water wastage. Called Environment Life Foundation (ELF), the group has so far removed over 125 tonnes and its founder Dharmesh Barai (36) said, " I discussed it with two friends who after a brief thought decided to give some time to clean the area".

Four-Storey Building Collapsed In Navi Mumbai, 1 Killed; Rescue Operation Underway

In Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai region, a four-storey building collapsed, at 10:30 pm, on October 1. The unfortunate incident killed one person, following which the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, City Police and fire brigade, rushed to the incident spot and launched a rescue operation, in the Bonkode village, Navi Mumbai. "About 32 people staying there had come out before the collapse, investigating underway," said Purushottam Jadhav.

Adani Ports Files Plea In SC Challenging Disqualification Of JNPA Bid

The bid of Adani Ports was disqualified in connection to the tender issued for upgradation of a container terminal by Board of Trustees of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Navi Mumbai. After which, Adani Ports and Sepcial Economic Zones Limited (Adani Ports) filed a plea in Supreme Court seeking to challenge the disqualification. The counsel stated that the same plea was earlier dismissed at Bombay High Court.

Farmers Affected By Navi Mumbai Airport Project Stage Protest, Demand Compensation

Hundreds of protestors representating the farmers from Kalwa-Kharigaon belt staged a sit-in agitation, at Thane district collectorate, on February 15.
