NCP Leader Nawab Malik's Custody To ED Extended Till April 22

A special PMLA court extended the judicial custody of NCP leader Nawab Malik to the Enforcement Directorate till April 22. Notably, NCP leader and former Maharashtra Minister Malik has been accused of money laundering and connection with the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, which is being investigated by ED. Furthermore, this is the fourth time the PMLA court extended his custody. Meanwhile, the SC also agreed to list Malik's bail plea.

SC To Hear Bail Plea of NCP Leader Nawab Malik

The Supreme Court (SC) agreed to review the bail plea of NCP leader Nawab Malik. Dismissed by the Bombay HC, the Apex Court bench led by CJI NV Ramana, Justice Hima Kohli, and Justice Krishna Murari ask Malik's advocate to submit papers of his case. Notably, Nawab Malik has been remanded with the ED in a money laundering case and alleged connections with the Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim.

BJP MLAs Protest Outside Assembly Demanding Nawab Malik's Resignation

BJP MLAs continued their sit-in protest outside the Maharashtra Assembly, demanding resignation of NCP leader Nawab Malik. Notably, Nawab Malik is an accused in a money laundering case in connection with fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. He is currently being investigated by the ED and is under custody. Bombay HC Reserves Verdict In NCP Leader's Money Laundering Case

The verdict of the alleged money laundering case against NCP leader Nawab Malik has been reserved for March 15, at 10:30 am. The Bombay HC, on March 11 reviewed Malik's bail plea in ED money extortion case and reserved the verdict. Notably, Malik is under the ED custody till March 21 in the alleged connection with underworld Dawood Ibrahim. However, NCP leader challenged the arrest to be illegal and sought immediate release.

ED Custody For Nawab Malik Extended Till March 7 In Money Laundering Case

Minority affairs minister of Maharashtra Nawab Malik's ED custody has been extended till March 7, by a special court. The custody has been extended to further the probe into the case. Malik was arrested on February 23 after a 5-hour interrogation as part of the money laundering probe. He is also suspected to have ties with fugitive and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
