The Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui duo is back, with a new crime drama, to be premiered on the OTT platform Zee5. The makers launched the trailer of the crime series, "Haddi", which revolves around a nexus of the criminal underbelly operating in the ‘modern ruins’ of Delhi NCR, Gurgaon and Noida. The trailer begins with a glimpse of Nawazuddin as a ruthless transgender-turned vindictive criminal named Haddi.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Talks About Playing Transgender Character In 'Haddi'

First glimpse of Nawazuddin Siddiqui disguised as a transgender from Akshat Ajay Sharma's forthcoming revenge play Haddi has gone viral. Nawaz will play two characters in the film, one female and one transgender. "If I am playing a female character, I need to think like a woman and that’s my test as an actor," he explained. Nawaz believes having the perfect look isn't enough for a powerful and meaningful performance.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui on October 26 announced his next film, 'Sangeen', shooting of which will begin in January 2021. Describing the film as "unique", Nawaz said the script of the movie is experimental and his character is "thought-provoking". Written and Directed by Jaideep Sharma, the film co-stars Sacred Games' actress Elnaaz Norouzi. The movie will be produced by Gurjit Singh and Ankit Khanna, and it will hit the screens in 2021.
