The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has unearthed 30 Kg of explosives during a de-mining exercise in Chattisgarh’s Dantewada district. The Chhattisgarh Police and security forces killed a female Naxalite in a joint operation between the Duled and Minpa jungles of Sukma district, on October 28. Over the last two weeks, five Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district were killed by their own colleagues. The police stated that the Naxals had a bounty of Rs 1-3 lakh on their heads. Reportedly, the killing took place due to the internal disputes in CPI(Maoist) regarding the recent murders of civilians by the Naxals in South Bastar. In September, the Naxal leader Modiyam Vijja was shot dead by his subordinates. 

Nine Naxals were arrested by security forces on September 13 in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Reportedly, the security forces had received information that led to the arrest.
