Illegal Internet Pharmacy Racket Busted, Rs 3.17 Crore Cash Seized: Hyderabad

A Hyderabad-based man has been arrested for running an illegal internet pharmacy racket, on May 8. Reportedly, he was involved in the diversion of pharma drugs from India to USA and other countries. During the search, the NCB seized Rs 3.17 crore in cash, several laptops, mobile phones and other gadgets used in the operations. A case has been registered against the accused and further details are awaited.

NCB Kolkata Captures Large Quantities Of Drugs, Arrests 4

Witness In Aryan Khan Drug Case Dies Of Heart Attack

Independent witness in the NCB Aryan Khan Drug Case died of heart-attack on April 2. Prabhakar Sail (37) suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, where he was declared brought dead. Furthermore, Sail's lawyer Tushar Khandare confirmed no foul-play in his death. Sail, the bodyguard of NCB official KP Gosavi, alleged that he heard Gopasavi discussing Rs 25 crore-deal after Aryan Khan's arrest in Cruise.

NCB Seeks 90-Day Extension To File Chargesheet In Aryan Khan's Case

A special court on March 30, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, will hear a plea by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Aryan Khan's case. In addition, the NCB is seeking an additional 90-day time from the special court to file a charge sheet in the case. Notably, Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, is one of the prime accused among the 20, in the case.

NCB Comments Over 'No Evidence Against Aryan Khan' Media Claims

Sanjay Singh, the Deputy Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) dismissed media reports claiming that the NCB and SIT have no evidence against Aryan Khan in "cruise drug case" of October 3. Singh said, "Nothing can be said at this stage. Premature to say anything at this stage". Notably, a media report claimed, NCB has no evidence against Khan and reported irregularities in investigation.

NCB Seizes 6 kg Ganja and 3,375 phensedyl bottles In West Bengal, Arrests 1

The Narcotics Control Bureau Kolkata has retrieved 6 kg Ganja and 3,375 phensedyl bottles on February 8. The accused has been held by the police and has been identified as Krishnapada Paul, a resident of Bagdah. On the specific input by Border Security Force, Krishnanagar, NCB seized 3,375 phensedyl bottles, 6 kg Ganja, two cars, Rs 85,671 cash, and one American dollar from Paul.

NCB Seizes 128.600 Kg Ganga In Murshidabad, 2 Arrested

Two Arrested In West Bengal; NCB Seizes 690 Kgs Marijuana

In West Bengal's Cooch Behar district two men were held with 690 kgs of marijuana from their house by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Kolkata unit. The accused has been identified as Arjun Mandal (40) and Prasanta Mandal (28). However, the drugs were seized at Cooch Behar's Meghpala village and was destined to Uttar Pradesh and Bangladesh, claims NCB. Meanwhile, further investigation in the case is underway.

Maharashtra Excise Department Issues Notice To Sameer Wankhede Over Bar License

On December 13, the Thane unit of the Maharashtra Excise Department has issued a notice to NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede regarding his bar & restaurant. Allegations are that Wankhede was not eligible for a bar & restaurant license, which was given in 1997. He was 17 years old at the time, far below the eligible age of 21. As per the notice, Wankhede has to reply within a week.

Aryan Khan Urges Court To Modify Bail Condition: Cruise Drug Case

Aryan Khan, the 23-year-old son of Shah Rukh Khan, on December 10, urged the Bombay HC to change a bail condition under the "Cruise Drug Case". In his written appeal, Khan asked to change the condition of weekly visit (every Friday) to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in South Bombay. However, the court is likely to review the plea next week.
