Children Below 3 Years Not Allowed In TV; News Rules Issued For Children In Entertainment Industry

New draft guidelines have been issued for the welfare of children in the entertainment industry. NCPCR Writes Delhi Police Over Kunal Kamra's Post On Kid In Viral PM Video

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has written to the Delhi police over Kunal Kamra's post on the kid who can be seen singing to PM Modi in a viral video. In the original video, the boy could be heard singing a patriotic song to the PM. But Kamra shared a doctored version of that video which replaced the audio with a song from a 2010 movie.

BJP Prez Forms Committee To Probe Hanskhali Rape-Murder Case

BJP National President JP Nadda has formed a five-member "fact-finding" committee to investigate the rape-and-murder case involving a minor girl at Hanskhali village in Nadia. The committee is set to visit West Bengal to probe into the matter. Besides, two members of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) would also be meeting with the family of the victim.

NCPCR Recommends Govt To Implement RTE Act In All Schools

The National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) requested the government to implement the Right to Education and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan campaign in minority schools. The NCPCR said ''minority schools are outside the purview of the RTE Act'' as no action will be taken against them for not admitting students from such backgrounds. Overall, 62.50% of students from such schools belong to non-minority communities, the report said.

Despite Age Limit, 37.8% Of Kids Aged 10 Yrs Access Facebook: Study

A study covering 5,811 participants has revealed that, despite the minimum age barrier, 37.8% of children aged 10 years access Facebook, and 24.3% use Instagram. However, Instagram was found to be more popular among children. Reportedly, the age limit for creating a Facebook or an Instagram account is 13 years. Besides, it is found that 62.8% of children access the internet through their parents' phones.
