Delhi, NCR Receives Rainfall After Scorching Heat, Says IMD

National Capital Region (NCR) and Delhi parts received heavy to moderate rainfall on June 16, giving relief to people from heat. The IMD issued a weather alert, stating gutsy winds, thunderstorms and rainfall will occure at adjoining areas of North Delhi, Sonipat, Kharkhoda, North-West Delhi, Bhawan, Mundka (West Delhi). Delhi Thunderstorm Brings Relief To People, Temperature Falls Sharply

Delhi people got relief from scorching heat due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorm. On May 23, the IMD said, "Today, just from 5:40 am till 7 am, the temperature fell by 11 degrees Celsius, from 29 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius". The rain will continue for the next few hours, bringing chaos to the national capital with issues like uprooted trees, traffic and cancellation of flights.

Haryana Govt Bans Sale & Use Of Firecrackers In 14 Districts

The Haryana Government on October 31 announced the ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in 14 districts. The ban covers districts such as Gurugram, Rohtak, Sonipat, Bhiwani, Charki Dadri, Faridabad, Jind, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Palwal, Panipat Rewari, and Jhajjar. Furthermore, the government's order stated the ban will also apply where the average air quality index was in the ''poor'' category in November last year.

Raifall To Continue In Delhi-NCR For Few Hours Says IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on October 17 said light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms will continue for the next two hours in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad. The department also issued alerts for the showers over different cities in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh region. Reportedly, the rainfall will help to improve Delhi's air quality which has become 'very poor' due to stubble burning in the neighbouring states.

Prices For CNG, PNG Hiked In Delhi-NCR By Indraprastha Gas

The prices for CNG and PNG have again been increased by Indraprastha Gas Ltd in Delhi and the National Capital Region on October 12 at 6 AM. Following the hike, one kg CNG costs Rs 49.76, and PNG stands at Rs 35.11 per SCM in Delhi. While in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, CNG will be sold at Rs 56.02 per kg and PNG at Rs 34.86 per SCM.
