A two-storey building which was in “dilapidated condition”, collapsed near Delhi’s Lahori Gate on October 9. The incident claimed the life of a 4-year-old girl. 4-Year-Old Dies After Building Collapsed In Delhi's Lahori Area
In a tragic accident, a four-year-old girl lost her life, after a building collapsed in Lahori gate, Delhi. The incident occurred on the evening of October 9, confirmed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The force further added, that approximately 10 people were severely injured, and are currently undergoing treatment at the LPJ Hospital, whereas one is said to be serious. Moreover, an investigation into the matter is underway.

Boy Falls Into Open Drain While Playing Outside Home In Gurugram; Missing Since 48 Hours
In Gurugram's Gadoli Khurd, an eight-year-old boy fell into an open drain while playing outside his house on August 7. Following the incident, police and a fire brigade team launched a search operation. However, the operation is still underway, and the boy is still missing. Body Of Engineer Discovered In Drain After 40 Hours In Bengaluru
Rescue personnel on June 19 retrieved the body of a 28-year-old civil engineer who was washed away after falling into an open stormwater drain in Bengaluru. Mithun Kumar's body was discovered stuck in an underbridge where he was attempting to stop his two-wheeler from being dragged into the lake. The rescue team included 59 officers of state disaster response force, 24 members of national disaster response force, and 20 firefighters.

Shah Alerts Disaster Management Agencies To Ensure Timely Help In Rural Areas
Union Minister Amit Shah asked the NDRF and disaster management agencies to provide timely help in rural, panchayat regions, during natural calamities situation. On April 8, Shah said, "We have made many apps (mobile applications) for a variety of disasters but a definite mechanism should be made so that the alerts reach in time to the remotest location".
