Child Suspected Of Monkeypox Symptoms Tests Negative In Andhra Pradesh

Blood samples of a child, who was thought to have acquired monkeypox in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, have proven negative. Following the child's hospital admission at GGH hospital due to signs of monkeypox, the samples were forwarded to the National Institute of Virology in Pune. They had arrived in India from Saudi Arabia on July 16. His family was quarantined at home.
