BJP Announces MLA Bhupendra Patel As New CM Of Gujarat
In the latest development of Gujarat Politics, BJP MLA Bhupendra Patel has been announced as the new Chief Minister of Gujarat on September 12. Reportedly, Patel was chosen in the presence of central observers Narendra Singh Tomer, Prahlad Joshi, and party general secretary Tarun Chaug following a day after Vijay Rupani resigned from the post. Patel is said to be close to former CM Anandiben Patel.

Basavaraj Bommai Set To Take Oath As New Karnataka's CM
Following the resignation of former CM BS Yediyurappa, BJP has appointed Basavaraj Bommai as the new CM of Karnataka on July 27. However, Bommai will take oath on July 28 at 11 AM. On appointment, Bommai said, ''It's a big responsibility in the given situation. I'll strive to work for the welfare of the poor.'' Notably, Bommai belongs to the Sadara Lingayat community and joined the BJP in 2008.
