Building Collapses In Delhi’s Azad Market Area; 2 Injured, 5 Trapped
In Delhi’s Azad market area, a building collapsed killing two persons and leaving five others trapped inside, on September 9. Following the incident, three fire tenders rushed to the spot to carry out the rescue operation. Reportedly, the rescue operation is currently underway. Further details on the matter are awaited, as to the reason behind the building’s collapse.

PM Modi Inaugurates Kartavya Path, Subhash Chandra Statue At India Gate
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Kartavya Path’ and unveiled a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate. On September 8, 7:00 pm, Modi inaugurated the statue, symbolising a shift from erstwhile Rajpath being an icon of power to Kartavya Path being an example of public ownership and empowerment. Moreover, Central Vista Avenue is aiming for new infrastructure with basic facilities, which were lacking in the past years.

Delhi Man Murders Wife & Dies By Suicide After Quarrel
Neeraj (42), a resident of New Delhi, allegedly stabbed his wife and took his own life, informed police on September 6. The incident occurred in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar, and the accused also injured one of his sons. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and a report is awaited. A preliminary investigation revealed that the couple had frequent quarrels.

Delhi Witnesses 28.69% Rise In Crimes Against Senior Citizens: NCRB
Delhi is the most unsafe for senior citizens among all metropolitan cities in India accounting, revealed the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data. On August 30, they revealed that for over 27% of total crimes committed in Delhi, are against people aged 60 years and above. Moreover, the national capital has also witnessed a 28.69% surge in crime against senior citizens in 2021 as compared to the previous year.

5 Youths Drown In Yamuna River: Delhi
In Delhi’s Yamuna river, five youths died due to drowning under a DND flyover during the immersion of Lord Krishna idol on August 28. The deceased have been identified as Ankit (20), Lucky (16), Lalit (17), Beeru (19) and Ritu Raj (20). Reportedly, while immersing, the idol got stuck in the water. When six persons entered the water to help with the situation, only five returned.

Massive Fire Breaks Out At Mobile Godown In Delhi’s Patparganj
In a mobile godown situated at Delhi’s Patparganj industrial area, a massive fire broke out on the second floor, on August 25. The building reportedly has four-storeys, and the fire broke out at around 10 am. Around 10 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Furthermore, no causalities have been reported in the incident.

Delhi Police Busts Racket Involved In Oil Theft From Indian Oil: Delhi
Delhi police have busted a racket involved in stealing of petrol from Indian Oil tankers, and arrested one person involved in the matter. The accused has been identified as Amarjeet, who was arrested after police raided his premises in Mundka. Reportedly, Amarjeet in connivance with the drivers of the tankers, used to steal oil. An FIR was filed by the owner's wife of one of the tankers.

Delhi police Bust Fake International Call Centre For Duping NRIs
Delhi police on August 3, busted a fake international call centre, that duped Non-Resident Indians (NRI). The cyber wing of the south east district police carried out the operation, and around 13 persons have been arrested. According to the police, the accused posed as officials and collected money from NRIs. Furthermore, 20 mobile phones, eleven computer monitors, eleven CPUs and two cars were seized from their possession.

Fire Breaks Out At Courier Godown In Delhi's Karol Bagh
In New Delhi's Karol Bagh, a fire broke out in a courier godown on the Desh Bandhu Gupta road at around 10:37 pm, on August 3. Immediately after the incident, around nine fire tenders rushed to the spot, and the fire has been brought under control. Reportedly, the evacuation process was carried out on time, due to which, no casualties were reported.
