Gogi Gang Member Arrested After Encounter In Delhi
In New Delhi's Khatta area, one member of the notorious Gogi gang has been arrested following an encounter near Bhalswa Dairy, on August 1. The accused identified as Bhagwan Singh, is reportedly a sharpshooter of the Gogi gang and boxer gang. According to the police, the gang also used to work for Lawrence Bishnoi. The police stated that when asked to surrender, the accused opened fire, resulting in an encounter.

Car Collides With Parked DTC Bus In Delhi; 3 Dead, 2 Injured
In Delhi's Nangli Poona, a car collided with a stationed bus on a highway, killing three and leaving two others injured. Reportedly, a car carrying five occupants rammed into a DTC bus parked in the bus stand. While three passengers died, two survived with injuries. The incident occurred in the morning of July 25, and further details on the matter is awaited.

Fire Breaks Out In Roma Delux Hotel In Delhi; 10 Rescued
In Delhi's Paharganj, on the second floor of Roma Delux Hotel, a fire broke out in the wee hours, on July 14. Immediately after the incident, four tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Reportedly, at least 10 persons were rescued from the second and third floor of the hotel. The fire broke out at around 4 am, and reportedly no injuries were reported.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh Unveils 75 New AI-Powered Defence Equipments
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled 75 newly created Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies on July 11 at the Ministry of Defence's first-ever "AI in Defence" (AIDef) conference and exhibition in New Delhi. The Raksha Mantri launched a print and electronic edition of the book including information about these 75 products. Massive Fire Breaks Out At Jamia Nagar Parking Site, Leaving Dozens Of Vehicles Destroyed: Delhi
In Delhi's Jamia nagar parking site, a massive fire broke out causing damage to dozens of vehicles, on June 8. Delhi Fire Service reported that around seven fire tenders were used to douse the fire. Reportedly, a total of 10 cars, one motorcycle, two mopeds, 30 new e-rickshaws and 50 old e-rickshaws had caught fire. No casualties have been reported, however, dozens of vehicles were gutted to ashes.

Delhi Airport To Start Using EVs To Reduce GHG Emissions
As part of the Green Transportation Programme, authorities of the Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport have decided to introduce Electric Vehicles (EVs) on the airside. In the next 3-4 months, about 62 EVs will be inducted for airside operations as part of the first phase, will is estimated to reduce 1,000 tonnes of GHG emissions globally. Furthermore, 100% of the electricity will be sources from renewable sources.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain Arrested In Money Laundering Case
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been arrested by ED in money laundering case, with alleged hawala transactions related to a Kolkata-based company, on May 30. A special team raided Jain's premises in Delhi. The case can be traced back to a complaint CBI filed against Jain in 2017. Following which, ED filed a criminal case since Jain could not explain the sources of funds received by four companies.

4 Arrested In BJP Leader Jitu Chaudhary Murder Case: Delhi
Delhi police have arrested four persons in connection with the killing of BJP leader Jitu Chaudhary, on April 24. The accused identified as Ujjwal alias Gaurav, Raja, Bittu and Saurabh Kataria, confessed to their crimes, said DCP. The accused were reportedly nabbed after tapping into over 500 CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity. Earlier on April 20, Jitu Chaudhary was shot dead in Mayur Vihar Phase 3.
