BJP Govt Set To Repeal 3 Farm Laws, Says PM Modi
The BJP government has decided to repeal three Central farm laws, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 19. PM Modi announced the decision while addressing the nation. The three laws were passed on September 17, 2020 from Lok Sabha. While Rajya Sabha passed the bills on September 20, 2020. ''Today I want to tell everyone that we've decided to repeal all three farm laws,'' said PM Modi.

Punjab Announces Rs 2 Lakh Compensation To People Arrested On R-day Rally
Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi announced Rs 2 lakh as compensation to 83 people arrested by the Delhi police for protesting and carrying out a tractor rally on the Republic Day of India. Reportedly, farmers protesting over farm laws broke barricades on January 6 and clashed with the Delhi police in the national capital. Moreover, the protesters also entered the iconic Red Fort and unfurled their flags, said reports.

Farmers Plans To Protest In Muzaffarnagar; UP Govt Faces Backlash
Amid the tussle between Protesting farmers and the Centre over three new farm laws, a mega meeting has been organized by the farmers' group at GIC ground in UP's Muzaffarnagar on September 5. Laying stress on farmer's protests against the newly passed laws, UK's Envoy to India Alex Ellis stated that due to the big Indian diaspora in the UK, internal issues get debated. Punjab Offers Job To Kin Of Farmers Who Died During Ongoing Stir
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has promised a government job to a kin of the Punjab farmers who died during the ongoing protest. The CM on January 22 announced the decision during a Facebook live #AskCaptain session, where he also claimed that 76 protesting Punjab farmers have died till now. Supreme Court Suspends Farm Laws' Implementation, Forms Expert Panel
The Supreme Court's three-judge bench led by CJI SA Bobde on January 12 ruled that the Centre's three farm laws will not be implemented till further orders. Arvind Kejriwal Visits Delhi-Haryana Border In Support Of Farmers
Just a day before "Bharat Bandh" called by farmers, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on December 7 visited the Delhi-Haryana border to extend his support to the ongoing protest.
