Amid a decline in COVID-19 cases worldwide, the Government of India (GoI,) issued new guidelines for those travelling to India from abroad. As per the new rules, signing 'Air Suvidha' form and mandate of pre-departure COVID-19 test is not required for those travelling from six countries. However, the random 2% testing of international passengers and arrivals from foreign countries will be same, in effect from February 13, 11 AM.

New set of guidelines for work from home (WFH) in organizations across India was released by Union Commerce Ministry on July 19. In accordance with the regulations, WFH is permitted for up to one year in Special Economic Zones (SEZ) unit and can be expanded to 50% employees. Employees of IT/ITeS SEZ units, temporarily disabled, who are traveling, and who are working offsite are included in the group of workers. 

Coming as a relief to international passengers traveling to India, the Government allowed 14 days self monitoring. Previously, travelers needed to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine which has now been changed. According to reports, Karnataka government is considering enforcing new rules in light of the discovery of novel COVID-19 variant AY.4.2.
