The Director General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) issued guidelines for airlines, in India after a recent incident of onboard refusal to a disabled passenger. On July 22, the DCGA said, "Under the amended rule, Airline shall not refuse carriage of any person on the basis of disability and/or reduced mobility if it happens then airlines have informed the passenger with a disability in writing with the reason therein immediately".

The GOI issued fresh instructions under the CGHS for pensioners, to avail OPD facilities and Fixed Medical Allowance (FMA) on March 24. As per the new instructions, a new procedure lay out has been announced to change FMA to OPD, once in lifetime. Now, pensioner needs to submit document to CGHS bank for discontinuation of FMA to avail OPD, vice-versa. After receiving application, the authority will issue a CGHC certificate.

The Union Government revised rules of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. Issued on January 17, as per new rules, EV owners are now allowed to charge their EVs using existing power connection at homes/offices. In addition, the Centre also approved government land allotment to private entities (with highest bid) to set up Public Charging Stations (PCS) for EVs, in phases. Notably, EV sales are expected to increase by 2030.

The Indian government in its new notification on July 15 revealed that vehicles that are older than 50 years from the date of registration will be considered as vintage. Moreover, registration for the new vehicle will cost Rs 20,000 and will be valid for 10 years and re-registration will cost Rs 25,000, valid for 5 years. Besides, Vintage vehicles can also not be used for Comercial and regular purposes.
