India COVID-19 Active Cases Close To 50k With 11,109 New Cases

India COVID-19 cases are on extreme rise with over 11,000 new cases registered in 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 11,109 new cases, and 29 deaths taking the active cases tally to 49,622 whereas death cases is at 5,31,064. The positive cases rate now at 4.29% whereas fatality rate with over 1.20%. Moreover, the Government of India urged states and UTs to take precautions.

India Registers Highest 10,158 New COVID-19 Cases

India reported the highest number of Coronavirus cases, with 10,158 new cases in the past 24 hours. With this, the nation registered the highest number of active cases, 44,938, since June 2022, confirmed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) With this, the daily positivity rate was at 4.42%, the active cases is 0.10%, recovery rate is at 98.71%,  and fatality rate at 1.19%.read-more

India Registers 6,050 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours

India continues to register over 5,000 new cases of Coronavirus. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed 6,050 new single day cases, over 600 cases than the previous day's 5,335 cases. Besides new cases, the nation registered 14 deaths, taking the tally to 5,30,943. The active cases stood at 28,303 comprising 3.39% daily positivity rate. Scientists Discover Another Coronavirus Omicron Mutant That Is Spreading Rapidly

Coronavirus has produced yet another hyper contagious omicron mutant, and scientists believe the version known as BA.2.75 may be able to spread quickly and prevent protection from vaccinations and prior infection. It is unknown if it causes more severe illness than other omicron variations. The most recent mutant has been discovered in various remote Indian states and ten additional nations. It appears to be spreading quicker in India.

New Variant Of COVID-19 XE Detected In Gujarat

A new mutation of COVID-19, XE variant has been detected in Gujarat, making it the second case in India. On April 9. A person in Gujarat has been infected with Coronavirus variant XE.  Previous to Gujarat, Mumbai Civic reported a case ofCOVID-19 XE variant on April 6. As per the WHO, the new variant is expected to be more transmissible than the other variants.

New COVID-19 Variant 'Deltacron' Found In Cyprus; Mix Of Delta Plus & Omicron

After Delta, Delta Plus and Omicron, a new variant of COVID-19 named "Deltacron" has been reported in Cyprus. Researchers say that it is a mix of "Delta" & "Omicron" variant. Dr. Leondios Kostrikis said, the variant has been found in 25 samples. The Cyprus Health Minister, on January 8, said, it's nothing to worry about at the moment.

France Discovers New Variant Of COVID-19 Named IHU, Severe Than Omicron

After Omicron variant of COVID-19, world witnessed a new variant IHU (B.1.640.2), which was discovered in France, on January 4. Experts at institution IHU Mediterranee, claimed the new variant to be more dangerous and infectious than Omicron, as it contain 46 mutations. Germany Imposes Travel Ban On South Africa Due To New Covid-19 Variant

The German Government set to impose a travel ban on South Africa, said German Health Minister Jens Spahn on November 26. The decision was taken due to the emergence of the new variant of Covid-19. Reportedly, only German citizens will be allowed to travel here and also have to undergo quarantine for 14 days. The new rules will come into effect from the night of November 26.

UK Suspends Flights From 6 African Countries; New Covid Variant

Owing to the emergence of a new COVID variant with more than 30 mutations, the UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid on November 26 announced a temporary suspension of flights from six African countries. The UK has also decided to put the six countries on the red list. The new variant has been named B.1.1.529. ''The variant includes a large number of spike protein mutation,'' said UK Health Security Agency.
