Ben Swayer Joins Appointed As Head Coach Of NZ Women's Team
Australian Ben Sawyer will coach the New Zealand women's team, confirmed sources on June 6. Ben signed a two-year contract and joined White Ferns. Furthermore, he is also the head coach of the Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred and has previously been head coach of the Sydney Sixers WBBL team. Furthermore, 42-year-old Ben Swayer will assist with two projects, Birmingham Commonwealth Games and the subsequent tour to the West Indies.

Prize Money For ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 Doubled
The prize money for the winner of the 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will amount to $1.32 million, on February 16. The overall money has seen a rise by 75 % with all the eight teams taking home a share of $3.5 million, which is $1.5 million more than the previous edition. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will take place from March 4, in New Zealand.

A New Zealand woman put her husband on auction on e-Bay Style Site, TradeMe. In the advertisement, Linda McAlister auctioned her husband with some qualities like, will be loyal until fed and watered, six feet tall, beef farmers and easy to handle. Furthermore, the sale with "no return or exchange" disclaimer reached New Zealand $100 (£49). However, due to breach of rules and conditions, TradeMe, took down the sale advertisement.

New Zealand Cricketer Ajaz Patel on January 10 has been awarded ICC player of the month for December, following his 10-wicket haul against India. Ajaz was nominated for the award, as he became the only third player in test history, to pick 14 wickets in total in that match, including 10 in the first innings. Mumbai-born Ajaz made a fairy-tale comeback in his first-ever India tour with the Test team.

With seamer Edabot Hossain's six wickets, Bangladesh defeated New Zealand for the first time by eight wickets on January 5. Oriini Kaipara, 37, became the first person to present primetime news at 6 pm on Three with a chin tattoo in New Zealand. Reportedly, the chin tattoo is a tradition of the Maori community and they are reported to be 17% of New Zealand's population. ''It's really exciting...I'm not speechless, but it's a buzz,'' said Kaipara. She had made her anchoring debut on TV in 2019 on TVNZ.
