Sportswear brand Nike on August 29 stated that its fifteen years long association with football superstar Neymar Jr has come to an end. Reportedly, the association ended because the company and the player could not agree on a remuneration package that both the parties were comfortable with. As one of its most prominent sponsorship deals, Nike had signed the footballer when he was 13 years old.
