Bandits Raid Boarding School, Kidnap 150 Students For Ransom: Nigeria

Bandits raided "Bethel Baptist High School" in Nigeria's Kaduna, resulting in the missing of around 150 students. NCB Busts Nigerian Drug Peddler Hiding Cocaine Capsules Mouth

Following a tip-off, the NCB on January 15 arrested Nigerian national allegedly carrying 10-12 cocaine-filled capsules in his mouth. Busting him outside a Juhu-based five-star hotel, the police rushed him to hospital for X-ray and CT-scan where more drugs were discovered in his mouth. The police said it is an old modus-operandi of peddlers and has asked to investigate further about his history in contraband dealings.

Nigeria: Tanker Explosion Kills 25 Including School Students

A fuel tanker explosion in Lokoja, Nigeria has killed atleast 25 people including school students. The incident took place in the early hours of September 23. Reportedly, the driver lost control after the brakes of the tanker failed. Police spokesman Willy Aya stated that several victims were charred so severely that bodies could not be recognized. A video shared online shows huge black fumes erupting from the spot of the explosion.
