Michael Jordan's 37-year-old Nike Air Ships was auctioned by Sotheby's in Las Vegas. The pair of 1984 shoes were reported be bought at $1,472,000 by collector, Nick Fiorella on October 24. The red and white sneakers were used by Michael Jordan during his first ever season with the Chicago Bulls. Furthermore, the shoes gained popularity after Jordan started wearing it.

Larry Miller Pleads Guilty For Committing Murder In 1965
Nike Jordan Chairman, Larry Miller has reportedly admitted to his crime, murdering Edward White in 1965 on the streets of West Philadelphia. In an interview, Mille said that he pleaded guilty because it was eating him up inside out. Besides, it was reported that it become very difficult for him to keep such a 'big incident' as a secret. However, Miller was sentenced to prison for his alleged crime.

Kanye West's 2008 Grammy Sneakers Sold For Over Rs 13 Crore
American rapper Kanye West's sneakers, which he worn during his performance in 2008 Grammy Awards, were sold for over Rs 13 crore ($1.8 million). Auctioned in a private sale on April 26, the Nike prototype was acquired by sneaker investment marketplace ‘RARES', making it the most expensive shoe ever sold. The sneakers were reportedly designed by West and Mark Smith and are made of soft leather with detailed perforation.

Satan Shoes Row: Nike Settles Case With Lil Nas, MSCHF As Products Recalled
Nike has freed art collective community MSCHF and rapper Lil Nas X from its lawsuit over the use of Nike Air Max 97 shoes for making "the Satan Shoes". In return, MSCHF will ask its customers to voluntarily return the Satan Shoes, containing actual human blood, for a full refund. In a statement, Nike has clarified that it would not be responsible for any issue related with the Satan Shoes.

Nike Ends its 15-year Association with Neymar
Sportswear brand Nike on August 29 stated that its fifteen years long association with football superstar Neymar Jr has come to an end. Reportedly, the association ended because the company and the player could not agree on a remuneration package that both the parties were comfortable with.
