Shrikant Tyagi Who Assaulted Woman In Noida, Says, 'She Is Like My Sister'
Uttar Pradesh Police detained Shrikant Tyagi for reportedly insulting and beating a lady in Noida. Tyagi stated on August 9, "I express my regret on the incident. She is like my sister, the incident is political and was done to politically decimate me." Tyagi was sentenced to 14 days in judicial jail by a Surajpur court for attacking and insulting a lady at the Grand Omaxe community in Noida.

Debt-Ridden Tempo Driver Ends Life, Police Launches Investigation: UP
A debt-ridden tempo driver (28) was found dead in a Greater Noida's Knowledge park on June 15. The police suspected the death to be a suicide case and said, "The man was identified as a native of Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh. Recently he had called up his family and informed them that he was under stress and considering suicide". The police has sent the body for autopsy.

455 Persons Penalized In Single Day For Drinking & Driving In Noida: Uttar Pradesh
For the offence of driving vehicle under the influence of alcohol, over 455 persons have been booked on a single day in UP's Noida and Greater Noida, on June 14. Of which, 181 were from Noida, 224 from Central Noida and 50 from Greater Noida. Meanwhile, on June 13, about 155 persons were booked for the offence of driving vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Blockchain Technology Startup Zeeve Raised $2.65 MN In Seed Funding
In a seed funding round from Leo Capital and Blu Ventures, Blockchain Technology startup Zeeve has raised $2.65 million (USD), the company said on June 14. Reportedly, the funds will be used for product development, augmenting the technology team and enhancing its reach. "We should expect a lot more innovation over the next five years, revolutionizing how we use internet," said Ravi Chamria, CEO Zeeve.

Blue Line Metro Services In Delhi Disrupts For Third Time In Week
Delhi Metro's Blue Line services from Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City or Vaishali were disrupted on June 9. "Blue Line Update: Delay in services. Normal service on all other lines," DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) said. DMRC has not disclosed the cause of the delay. Furthermore, blue line metro services have been effected three times in the last four days.

Supertech's 40-Storey Twin Towers In Noida To Be Demolished On Aug 21
The New Okla Industrial Development Authority said that Supertech's 40-storey twin towers (Emerald project), will be demolished on August 21, over violations of building norms. The announcement has come after Supreme Court extended the deadline to demolish the structure, to August 28. Man Strangled To Death By Lover & Her Husband In Noida: UP
In a tragic incident, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav was strangled to death by his lover and her husband, in Noida. After the incident, his lover and her husband who lived in the same apartment, fled the area. After finding the body of Yadav, the landlord raised a police complaint. Reportedly, the couple intoxicated Yadav before strangling him to death. A case has been registered under various sections of IPC.

Man Killed In Bhangel Area, Noida, Hunt For Accused Bikers Underway
Gullu Tyagi, a resident of Noida, was killed by some youth after a heated argument and fight in Noida. Although the incident happened on May 13, police confirmed details on May 16, and assured to nab the biker accused in the incident. Meanwhile, investigation reveals that the man had a fight with some bike-borne youth which lead to his death. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

The non-bailable warrant issued by Allahabad High Court against IAS officer Ritu Maheshwari, has been 'stayed' by Supreme Court. The order was stayed by a Supreme Court bench headed by CJI NV Ramana, on May 10. Reportedly, Allahabad High Court issued a non-bailable warrant against Noida CEO and IAS officer Ritu Maheshwari, after she failed to appear before the court, in connection with the contempt proceedings against her.

Supertech Declared Insolvent, Home Buyers Affected
