Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections: 203 Nominations Filed For Elections

Ahead of the 2023 Chhattisgarh Assembly elections, the state witnessed 203 nomination filing, until October 27. As per the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) confirmed the nominations, filed by leaders of Congress, BJP and other independent parties. Moreover, the scrutiny of the filed nomination will be held on October 31, and nomination withdrawal is on November 2. Chhattisgarh will conduct polls in two phases, on November 17, and December 3.

Ashok Gehlot Confirms To Contest Congress Presidential Elections, Will File Nomination Soon

Ahead of the Congress Presidential elections, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot confirmed to contest and said, this time no Gandhi will be the chief of the INC. "He (Rahul Gandhi) made it clear that no one from the Gandhi family should become the next chief," said Gehlot, who will be contesting against Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor. Gehlot also said, he will fix the nomination filing date for October 17 election, soon.

Zendaya has been nominated for her second Emmy for her performance in HBO's teen drama "Euphoria." The 25-year-old is now the youngest acting nominee to receive two nominations, with this particular nomination. She also became the youngest woman ever nominated for producing at the Emmys. On September 12, NBC will live-stream the Emmy Awards, which will be aired live for the first time on Peacock.

Haryana Civic Polls On June 19, Announces Election Commissioner

Haryana is all set to conduct municipal elections for 46 civic bodies on June 19. The Haryana State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh announced the schedule on May 23, and said, the counting of votes for municipal elections will be on June 22. Furthermore, the nomination process will begin on May 30 and end on June 4, scrutiny and withdrawal will be on June 6 and 7, respectively.

Nomination Process For Bihar Panchayat Polls 2021 Kicks Off

Following the prolonged delays due to COVID-19, Bihar's State Election Commission has begun the nomination process for the panchayat elections on August 25, ending on August 31. The elections will be held in 11 phases in every district except those affected due to floods. The phases will kick off from September 24 and will conclude on December 12. The commission will start the counting after two days of voting.
