Sherlock Holmes Original Manuscript Sold For $423,000 In US
The original handwritten manuscript of Sherlock Holmes novel 'The Hound of Baskervilles' page was sold for $423,000 to a private buyer by Heritage Auctions in Dallas. Reportedly, It was in a good condition and measured 20cm x 33cm. Only 37 such pages are left in existence in today's time because most of the pages disintegrated as it was acidic. The page is titled "Chapter XIII, Fixing the Nets".

British Novelist Sunjeev Sahota Launches New Book 'China Room'
Booker prize nominee and British novelist Sunjeev Sahota has unveiled his new book named 'China Room' that sheds light on his own family's past. Set in Punjab, the book narrates the pain and struggle of a woman in early 20th century. Besides, it interestingly captures the journey of the author's family at the time of India's independence while laying stress on the historical events. The book is published by Penguin Random House India.

Tamil Translation Of 'Le Mariage De Plaisir' Wins Romain Rolland Prize
The Tamil translation of a French novel bagged the Romain Rolland Book Prize at the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival on January 24. The Tahar Ben Jelloun-authored novel, 'Le mariage de plaisir', was translated by Dr Vengada Soupraya Nayagar and published by Amutharasan Paulraj of Thadagam Publishers.
