Delhi HC Reserves Order In Bail Plea Of NSE Former CEO Chitra Ramakrishna
A Delhi court on reserved its order on the bail plea of National Stock Exchange's (NSE) former CEO and MD Chitra Ramkrishna. The duo were arrested in in connection with a money laundering case in connection with the co-location scam that also involved phone tapping of NSEs employees between 2009 and 2017. The Delhi court last reviewed the matter on August 25, and reserved the orders.

Rupee Gains By 6 Paise, Stands At 79.86 Against US Dollars
After declining for days, on August 26, the rupee gained 6 paise to 79.86 against US Dollar. As per the early market trend, the dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, advanced 0.05% to 108.51. Furthermore, BSE Sensex was trading 471.65 points or 0.80 per cent up at 59,246.37. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 139.50 points or 0.80 per cent to 17,661.95.

Rupee Gains By 12 Paise, Stands At 98.74 Against US Dollars
In early trades, the rupee appreciated by 12 paise to Rs 98.74, against US Dollar, on August 2. As per interbank foreign exchange, the rupee plunged and recorded a good start, whereas dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength fell 0.22 per cent to 105.21. Furthermore, 30-share Sensex was trading 88.55 points at 58,026.95, while NSE Nifty fell 35.65 points to 17,304.40. Crude oil prices also softened on August 2.

Rupee Gains By 6 Paise, Stands At 79.81 Against US Dollars, In Early Trades
After reporting fall in days, the rupee appreciated 9 paise to 79.81 against the US dollar in early trade. On July 25, the ruppee saw a rise and opened at 79.86 against the American dollar. Furthermore, it was also supported by the fall of crude oil prices, on July 25. In addition, Sensex was trading 95.33 points or 0.17% at 55,976.90, while the broader NSE Nifty declined 31.80-points to 16,687.65.

ED Filed Money Laundering Case Against Ex Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey & 2 Others

Rupee Gains By 6 Paise, Stands At 78.27 Against US Dollars
The Indian currency increased by 6 paise to 78.27 against the US dollar in an opening trade, on June 27. At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 78.24 against the US dollar, then inched lower to quote 78.27, registering a gain of 6 paise. Furthermore, sensex was trading 589.05 points or 1.12 per cent higher at 53,317.03, and the NSE Nifty advanced 179.65 points to 15,878.90.

Hindustan Motors' Stock Stalls At 5% Upper Circuit At Rs 17.35 On BSE
Hindustan Motors' stock was trading at Rs 17.35 on the BSE, trapped at a 5% upper circuit on June 2. On NSE and BSE, around 11.68 million equity shares changed trades, representing 5.6% of total equity. The stock has increased by 77% in three weeks, from Rs 9.83 on May 12. The exchanges requested clarification from Hindustan Motors over a substantial price fluctuation in order to assure and protect investors.

STOCK NEWS: NSE Bans 8 Companies Including IRCTC, Exide, Vodafone
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Vodafone Idea (Vi), Canara Bank, Exide Industries, LIC Housing Finance, and three more are put under the F&O ban by the NSE on Sept 15. These stocks have crossed 95% of the Market-Wide position limit (MWPL). MWPL is the maximum number of contracts to be open at any given time. Thus, no fresh positions are permitted for these companies, until the reversal of the ban by NSE.
