Nagasaki Day: Japan Remembers US' Nuclear Attack 77 Years Ago
Nagasaki paid tribute to all the victims of the US atomic bombing, which killed hundreds of thousands of people on August 9, 1945. Nagasaki's mayor said that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, is a "tangible and present crisis," enabling another nuclear attack. Mayor Tomihisa Taue further stated that the only way to save the future of humankind, is by eliminating the nuclear weapons from the world.
