Former Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam Writes To S Jaishankar; Urges Relief To Arrested Fishermen
Former CM of Tamil Nadu and AIADMK Coordinator O Panneerselvam, has requested union external affairs minister S Jaishankar to take necessary steps for the release of Indian fishermen arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy. He urged the union minister via letter, stating that he is concerned about the well-being of Tamil fishermen who get arrested often. Recently, on August 10 and 22 some fishermen were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy.

Former Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam Hospitalised After Developing COVID Symptoms
Former Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam has been admitted to hospital after he developed COVID-19 symptoms. He was admitted in the isolation unit on July 15, said MGM healthcare bulletin. Furthermore, his condition is stable, and is under observation by a clinical team. Meanwhile, CM MK Stalin wished Panneerselvam a speedy recovery. Notably, this has come days after Panneerselvam was expelled from AIADMK party.

AIADMK Passes Resolution Seeking Sasikala's Return: Tamil Nadu
A fresh twist has taken place in Tamil Nadu politics, the AIADMK functionaries from the Theni district unanimously passed a resolution to take back VK Sasikala and AMMK chief TTV Dhinakaran into the party. The volunteers have urged party coordinator O Panneerselvam to bring Sasikala back into the party, said Syed Khan. "The split in the party is the reason for successive electoral defeats of the party," the cadre said.
