Qatar To Build Luxurious Eco-Friendly Floating Hotel By 2025

Qatar will soon have an eco-luxury floating hotel to be built in the middle of the ocean. Developed by Turkish company 'Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio', the 152-room hotel will generate electricity from rotation. In addition, the hotel consists of rooftop bars, spa and an infinity pool to make a trip memorable. Slated to get completed by 2025, the hotel boasts of high mobility allowing guests entry by boats or by helicopters.

Disappearance Rate Of Sharks Accelerated By 71% In Last 50 Years: Study

The disappearance rate of sharks has accelerated and their population has nosedived by 71% in about five decades, indicated a new study. Oceanic Warmth Rose Despite Dip In Global Carbon Emission: Study

A joint study by China, US and Italy pointed that despite a drop in carbon emissions, the global oceanic temperature in 2020 was recorded as the warmest in history. The report mentioned that the above 2,000 metres of oceans absorbed relatively greater heat than 2019. Moreover, the study chief Cheng Lijing said that due to the delayed response, the climate change might last for long by manifesting typhoons, hurricanes and extreme rainfall.
