Flood Situation In Odisha Continues To Stay Grim; 4.67 Lakh Affected Over 10 Districts
The flood condition in Odisha continues to stay grim. About 4.67 lakh people have been affected across 10 districts and 1,757 villages. As of August 18, over 60,000 persons have been evacuated to safe places. Meanwhile, flood water is being released via Hirakud reservoir through 40 gates. Furthermore, school buildings have been ordered to use the buildings for shelter and relief distribution.

Flooding Brings Life To Halt In Odisha's Bhadrak
Residential areas in several parts of the Bhadrak district were overwhelmed by floodwater from the Baitarani river, putting an end to daily life for many. The district administration estimates that 80,000 to 90,000 individuals have been impacted by the flooding. "The administration took steps and boats along with other necessary help have been deployed," stated Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar, District Magistrate Bhadrak.

Odisha To Soon Launch ATM Like Food Grain Disbursement Centre For Beneficiaries
Odisha will soon have All Time Grain (ATG) dispensing macines to provide foodgrains to beneficiaries under the public distribution system. Announced by the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Atanu S Nayak, the ATG would be like ATM machines, helping people under the National Food Security Act and the State Food Security Schemeligible people to take foodgrains with a card. Bank Note Paper Mill Worth Rs 2,500 Crore To Be Set Up In Odisha's Balasore
Odisha Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on July 13, informed that a bank note paper mill will be set up in Balasore. The mill will be set up by Bank Note Paper India Pvt Ltd, and is worth Rs 2,500 crore. Notably, Bank Note Paper India Pvt Ltd is a government owned subsidiary of the RBI. Odisha Woman Suffers Burn Injuries After Acid Attack
In Odisha's Cuttack, a woman was seriously injured after some unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled acid on her, confirmed police on July 13.
