Bihar Govt Orders To Close Schools, Colleges To Curb COVID-19 Cases

In view of the rising COVID-19 cases, the Bihar government on January 6 ordered to close all schools, colleges, coaching centres, and hotels till January 21. The government and private offices were asked to work with only 50% staff presence. It also ordered to close parks, gyms, religious places, and malls for 14 days. Besides, a statewide night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am is already in effect.

Wipro Likely To Allow Employees Work From Office Soon

Indian multinational company Wipro is expected to allow its employees to work from the office, from September. Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources Officer, stated that the decision would be implemented depending on the pandemic and the third wave, as well as on the speed of the vaccination drive. The company has vaccinated almost 35,000 employees under its premises.

53% Of Organisations To Reduce Office Space, Indicates Survey

A survey done by Cisco Systems has indicated about 53% of organisations plan to reduce their office space. About 1,569 people were questioned in the survey, and 90% of them said that they will not return to office as full timers. However, it also opined people are not happy with their current experience either. Besides, the survey found the changes this pandemic brought in the work-life will remain for years.
