LPG Gas Cylinder Prices Hikes By Rs 50 In India, 1st Since July 22

In effect from March 1, the Indian Oil Companies (IOC,) hiked prices of domestic LPG gas cylinders in India. the oil marketing companies announced a hike of Rs 50 on each 14.2 kg gas cylinder.  This is the first hike in domestic cylinder prices since July 6, 2022. With this, cylinders will be Rs 1,103 in Delhi, Rs. 1,102.50 in Mumbai, Rs. 1,129 in Kolkata and Rs. 1,118.50 in Chennai.read-more

Petrol, Diesel Prices Remain Stable In India Amid Rising Covid Cases

While Petrol and diesel prices decline in international markets due to the rise in Covid-19 cases, they remain unchanged in India. According to sources, crude oil prices have been hovering around $70-75 a barrel in July as industrial recovery is taking a simultaneous hit. In India, petrol prices cost Rs 101.84 in Delhi, while diesel is priced at Rs 89.87 per liter, both remain unchanged.

Government Increases Ethanol Price By Upto Rs 3.34/Litre

The government has increased the sugarcane-extracted ethanol price by upto Rs 3.34 per litre, effective from December 2020 as oil-marketing companies are eyeing to procure 465 crore litres of eco-friendly ethanol for 2020-21. The price hike will help sugarcane-farmers sell produce more efficiently. India, which imports 85% of its oil requirements, dopes 10% ethanol to ease import dependency.
