US Ready To Assist Taiwan Against China: Pentagon Chief
Lloyd Austin, the United States' Defence Secretary and Pentagon chief, said that the US is ready to support Taiwan's ability to defend itself against China. He further stated that US respects the ''one-China'' policy but it will not tolerate any forceful entry into the island nation. Notably, his remark came amid China's goal of bringing up its nuclear arsenal to at least 1,000 warheads by 2030.

Taiwan Condemns Beijing's 'One China' Advice To Indian Media Houses
Taiwan has condemned China's letter to Indian media ahead of its national day, and asked Beijing to "get lost". Accusing China for imposing media censorship in India, Taiwan Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said, "#Taiwan's Indian friends will have one reply [to China]: GET LOST!" Earlier, the Chinese embassy in New Delhi issued a letter to Indian journalists claiming Taiwan as a part of China, and reiterated its 'One China' policy.
