Alarming Call To Climate Change; Coral Reef Declines By 50%

In a shocking revelation, a report published in the journal One Earth on September 17 found the world's coral reef has declined to half since the 1950s after surveying reefs in 87 countries. The reasons behind the reef's dilapidation are said to be global heating, overfishing, pollution, and habitat destruction. The study has also reported a dramatic fall of more than 60% of reefs diversity so far.
