France To Likely Authorize UPI Payments & Rupay Cards
India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Rupay cards will soon be approved in France, according to an Indian official in France. According to Indian Ambassador Jawed Ashraf, since India is at the forefront of digital technology, it has seized the issue of global semiconductor scarcity. India was also named "country of the year" at Vivatech 2020, Europe's largest start-up conference.

PayPal Fined Rs 96 Lakh For Breaching Financial Norms
The Financial Intelligence Unit has levied a penalty of Rs 96 lakh on the online payment application PayPal for breaching India's anti-money laundering laws. Reportedly, PayPal has been charged for "concealing" irregular financial transactions and encouraging the "disintegration" of the financial system.
