In non-stop 24 hours flights, the Indian Air Force (IAF) rescued another batch of Indian nationals stranded in war hit Sudan. Batch Of 231 Indians Return From War Hit Sudan Under Operation Kaveri
India brought back home a total of 231 people under its mission to evacuate stranded Indians from strife torn Sudan. The Indians arrived in Mumbai on a commercial flight. "Another #OperationKaveri flight brings citizens back home. Flight carrying 231 passengers lands in Mumbai," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted. Operation Kaveri is underway to evacuate more stranded nationals of India, in Sudan.

Operation Kaveri Continues, 530 Indians Evacuated From Sudan
India has evacuated more than 530 of its citizens from Sudan using military aircrafts with more to be taken out of the northeast African country amid a lull in fighting between the regular army and a rebel paramilitary force. The evacuation began on Tuesday after forces loyal to the Sudan Army chief, Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and his deputy-turned-rival, Gen Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, agreed on 72-hour nationwide ceasefire.

Operation Kaveri, 1st Batch Leaves Conflict Hit Sudan
The first group of Indians stranded in Sudan has left the conflict-hit nation in an Indian Navy warship for Saudi Arabia's Jeddah. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted photos of the Indians on board the INS Sumedha. Some held the national flag to thank the government for arranging for their evacuation. The evacuation is being held as Operation kaveri, launched and being held by the Union Government.
